Set in the breathtaking Malvern Hills lies the Three Counties Showground, the setting for the wonderful RHS Malvern Spring Flower Show. Running from the 9th – 12th of May and attracting crowds of over 100,000 floral enthusiasts and horticulturalists, the show has gone from strength to strength in recent years. The event is the result of a unique partnership between the Royal Horticultural Society and Three Counties, a specialist rural event organiser and agricultural society dating back to 1797, and features beautiful show gardens, large scale displays of floral art, a multitude of high quality tradestands and a jam-packed schedule of talks and demonstrations. Gardeners were delighted by talks and tips from Monty Don and Carol Klein and flower lovers flocked to see the inimitable Jonathan Moseley and wonderful Nick Grounds.
We were thrilled to receive a prestigious 3 star award for our tradestand, the design for which we had improved on again following Harrogate Show, and we were delighted with the positive response our flower boxes had from the public. On the final day, to celebrate Gardening Day, we ran a free flower crown making workshop which received a brilliant response, and many people could be seen wandering the show with heads adorned with fresh Ixia blooms.
Next up is RHS Chelsea and we can’t believe how quickly this one has come around!
We are really excited to share what we have in store for this epic show! As ever, don’t forget to check our social media to keep up to date with our shows, competitions, shop news and offers @ixiaflowersuk on Instagram and Twitter and Ixia Flowers UK on Facebook.
