Over a glorious April weekend in the gorgeous grounds of Cardiff Castle, the RHS kicked off their show season with RHS Cardiff Flower Show 2019. As a flagship show, the 4 day floral extravaganza boasted show gardens, a new concept Floristry Tent and many trade stands for the public to enjoy. We were delighted to have our application to exhibit accepted, and set off with 2 vans of flowers, 2 detailed designs, and 4 excited florists to build our brand new trade stand showcasing our nationwide flower delivery service, and Castles and Poets floristry exhibit.
The community of florists and RHS staff that welcomed us were incredibly, warm, kind and talented and we were honoured to be awarded 3 stars of 4 for our trade stand and RHS Commended for our exhibit. It was an incredible experience to work alongside some exceptional florists such as Jonathan Moseley and Sharon Dower, and wonderful to immerse ourselves in the world of the show.
Our trade stand was well received by the warm Welsh public, and we gained many new customers and orders for our boxed flowers. Four tired, happy florists with considerably lighter vans returned to Manchester excited to build on the successes of the show and looking forward to improving for the next.
With Harrogate round the corner, followed quickly by RHS Malvern Spring, it was a couple of days of rest before Easter madness and more shows – watch this space for our Harrogate and Malvern Spring blogs coming soon.
